Job Description
OMD Brisbane has an exciting and rare opportunity for a passionate Media Implementation Account Manager to join our Media Implementation team and work across one of AU & NZ's leading retail groups.
This person will be directly responsible for the stewardship of the overall media buying process across some key brands in the group. This isn't just a traditional trading role – while your focus will be buying across screens, you'll be leading converged trading approaches and work with talented and tenured team members who are in the forefront of channel and tech innovation.
As a key member of both the client team and OMD's broader Media Implementation department, you will play an essential role in advancing our ‘We Create What's Next' ambition for this client, our people and our partners.
What you'll do:
- Work with your team including 2 direct reports, business management, our centre of excellence, and other specialist business units to deliver best in class buying
- A strong understanding of traditional media channels, with digital video buying skills an advantage
- Use expert knowledge and senior media relationships to uncover innovative insights & provide points of view and thought leadership to wider the team
- Monitor team's communication with media partners, in particular their briefing and feedback to ensure it's timely, consistent and constructive
- Act as the custodian of all team processes and supporting documentation that relate to Media Implementation best practice
- Build value adding relationships with media owners, internal stakeholders, auditors and relevant clients
- Preparation of negotiation documents and monitor all financial commitments to media
- Arrangement of meeting, preparation of WIP reports, compilation of deal tracking and financial administration, campaign monitoring, buying and post analysis processes
- Consistently deliver of all campaign objectives in accordance with approved media plan
What you'll need:
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and advanced knowledge of Citrix Applications
- Experience negotiating deals to meet client expectations within budget
- Understanding of commercial arrangements with all clients
- Strong attention to detail, experience managing workflow and delegating tasks across the team
- Ability to lead and develop capability amongst a team of high performers
- Be informed and able to discuss media trends and current industry issues
- Strong relationship builder at a senior level
- Willingness to learn, and grow their digital screen buying knowledge
- Understanding of buying systems and utilising data to drive audience-based buying
