The Role
The Head of Marketing & Growth is responsible for leading how UM presents itself to market and how it drives growth.
This is a broad, senior role spanning brand, marketing and new business. You'll be responsible for shaping UM's positioning, building a strong pipeline of opportunities, and leading high-quality pitch responses that convert into business outcomes.
You'll work closely with the CEO of UM and the Chief Marketing Officer of Omnicom Media, with the support of a centralised marketing team. You'll have the scope to influence both strategy and execution, while ensuring activity is aligned to the agency's commercial priorities.
What You'll Do
Drive New Business & Pipeline
- Lead UM's new business approach - from prospecting through to pitch delivery.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities aligned to the agency's growth plans.
- Ensure pitch responses are well structured, competitive and clearly differentiated.
Shape Brand & Market Presence
- Develop and deliver UM's marketing strategy to strengthen its position in market.
- Lead PR, communications and thought leadership to build visibility and reputation.
- Oversee awards and industry engagement to support the agency's profile and credibility.
Deliver Marketing Activity
- Oversee content, social, website and communications to ensure consistency and quality.
- Lead key agency events, client engagement initiatives and marketing projects.
- Ensure all activity is delivered to a high standard and aligned to business objectives.
Manage Stakeholders & Reporting
- Partner with the UM Leadership Team and broader Omnicom Media network.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including industry bodies and trade press.
- Provide clear visibility of pipeline, activity and outcomes to senior leadership.
Who You Are
- You bring strong experience across marketing, new business or agency environments, with a clear understanding of how agencies grow.
- You're commercially minded and comfortable owning both brand and pipeline.
- You're confident working with senior stakeholders and able to influence and align.
- You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, and you're comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
- You're organised, proactive and solutions-focused, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
