Job Description
Business Director (Parental Leave Cover)
• Fixed-term contract: August 2026 – July 2027
• Based in Melbourne
• Reporting to Managing Partner
This is a unique opportunity to step into a Business Director role leading a key portfolio of Victorian Government clients. You will oversee a significant patch across Education, Arts, Transport, Environment and Safety, with a strong focus on team leadership, client partnership and commercial delivery. Supported by the wider leadership team, you will play a critical role in maintaining momentum, driving performance and ensuring best-in-class service across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a positive and collaborative culture
• Own senior client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor across your portfolio
• Drive strategic thinking and media excellence across all campaigns and outputs
• Ensure strong commercial outcomes, including revenue growth and profitability
• Partner with internal stakeholders across investment, strategy and activation teams
• Maintain a high standard of delivery across all workstreams, ensuring timelines and quality benchmarks are met
• Identify opportunities for innovation, growth and improved ways of working
• Support and mentor team members, contributing to their development and progression
What We're Looking For
• Proven experience at Senior AD or Business Director level within media or agency environments
• Strong leadership capability with experience managing and developing teams
• Confident client operator with the ability to influence at a senior level
• Commercially minded with an understanding of business drivers and growth opportunities
• Strategic thinker with the ability to connect media solutions to client objectives
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to step into a dynamic, fast-paced environment
