Job Description
We're seeking a Media Implementation Account Director to join Team Macca's, working with one of Australia's largest and most iconic advertisers. In this role, you'll lead and manage a high-performing team, championing operational excellence and delivering best-in-class process execution. You'll work collaboratively with all specialist business units—including Business Management, Create, and Diverse— and work on some of the largest Sporting and General Entertainment partnerships. You're a strong communicator with exceptional attention to detail, and have the agility to adapt to shifting business priorities in a fast-paced environment. As Media Implementation Account Director, you will play a lead role in delivering our Performance with Integrity ambition across OMD's clients. You will lead the creation of market leading ideas for our clients and will manage the executional interface with media owner partners.
What you'll do:
- Work across all media channels and interact with OMD's Specialist Business Units to deliver high performance campaigns for our clients
- Work with the National Media Implementation Leadership to develop the OMD Investment product to meet the future agency needs
- Use expert knowledge and senior media relationships to uncover innovative insights & provide a point of view and thought leadership to the wider team
- Lead all annual negotiations for your clients in conjunction with senior team members including preparation of briefing material, negotiation strategies and analysis
- Ensure overall campaign delivery, manage client comms and direct reports in developing action plans
- Work with senior media implementation leaders to own the auditing process and ensure that all data submitted to auditors is accurate and on time
What you'll need:
- Strong negotiation skills along with demonstrated experience within buying across all channels including digital, TV and OOH
- Foresight to proactively seek out strategic trading opportunities that align with our client's strategic direction
- Ability to consistently provide market landscape understanding to be known as an expert
- Experience managing and developing best in market processes and systems across the Trading team, including systems and tools driving automation
- Showcase strong POV and insights on relevant media and performance, direct to client within presentations or via regular communication
- Experience developing market presentations for clients to showcasing specialist Traders and build internal profile writing PR pieces
- Know how to lead conversations to bridging the gap between digital and traditional media investment
- In depth knowledge and understanding of client's business including KPIs and accountability measures
- Experienced in all aspects of team leadership within a media trading environment preferably within large media agency
